Signpost is a free service that connects people looking for supported and exempt accommodation with verified housing providers across the UK. You can search by area and by the type of support you need, save the places you like and enquire directly.
Yes. Searching and enquiring is completely free for people looking for a home. Providers list their properties for free too. There are no hidden fees.
No. Signpost is open to anyone who needs supported or specialist housing. Many people who use it receive Universal Credit or Housing Benefit. Each listing shows which benefits that provider accepts, so you can filter for the ones that fit your situation.
DSS friendly means a provider considers people whose rent is paid in full or in part by benefits. On Signpost, each listing shows whether the provider accepts Universal Credit or Housing Benefit, so you can see eligibility upfront rather than guessing.

Your details stay private until you choose to send an enquiry. When you do, your information is shared only with that provider so they can reply. We never sell your data.
It varies by provider, but many respond within a day or two. You can send enquiries to more than one place, and you can track them from your dashboard.
Yes. Support workers and local authority officers can search live vacancies and enquire on behalf of the people they support, which saves hours of ringing round.
Create a free provider account, add your property with photos, rent and support details, and publish it. You can manage every enquiry from one dashboard. See the For Providers page to get started.
If you are in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent housing help you can also call the free 24/7 helpline shown at the top of every page.
